About volunteering
Volunteers are people from all walks of life, all ages and at different stages in their lives. What they share is the desire to make a difference in their community and in their own life, by giving of their time and expertise.
Some volunteers might want to give just one hour of their time each week or to devote many hours; volunteers are involved in one-time events or as ongoing commitments; some choose to volunteer out in the community or from the comfort of their home, or volunteers can also work on their own or with others and do hands-on work. Together we can work at finding a position suitable for your needs.
Whatever reason you choose to volunteer it is the result of a choice, may it be to provide a needed service, advance a worthy cause, for personal development or volunteer for both altruistic and personal reasons, bottom line, volunteering brings satisfaction, appreciation and the opportunity to build skills. Through volunteering people make contacts, gain work experience, build self-esteem, improve their health, sometimes find paying jobs and sometimes turn their lives around.
Volunteers enhance the life of our communities and play a vital role in Canadian society. In order to become a volunteer an interested party must:
1) Fill out an application form,
2) Go through the screening process (interview, verify references…), and
3) Complete a mandatory police record check.

Volunteers are people just like you and the Angels with Autism Foundation is looking for dedicated people like you.
We make a living by what we get;
we make a life by what we give.
